1. High school diploma or G.E.D. supplemented by specialized flight training, and two thousand (2,000) or more helicopter flight hours as a Pilot in Command of which one thousand (1,000) flight hours must have been on a Turbine Helicopter.
License Requirement: At the time of appointment, candidates must possess an FAA Commercial Pilot License for Rotor craft / Helicopter, an FAA Class I or II Medical Certificate, FAA Certified Flight Instructor/Rotor craft and a driver's license valid in the State of New York. All licenses and certifications must be maintained for the duration of employment. Note: Candidates must not have incurred any FAA suspensions / revocations.
A minimum of 250 hours of Augusta AW119 Flight Hours, 50 Helicopter Night Flight Hours, Night Vision Goggles (NVG) experience, Prior military, law enforcement or utility experience, Helicopter flight currency within the past 6 months required.
The selected candidate will have to work different shifts, holidays, or weekends and be available for call out while off duty.
