Requirements |
Basic/Required Qualifications:
• High School Diploma
• In addition to required education listed above, five (5) years minimum of pilot experience with 2,000 hours PIC Rotorcraft-Helicopter, 500 hours turbine time
• FAA Commercial Rotorcraft-Helicopter Certificate with Instrument Helicopter Rating
• Current FAA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
• Current FAA Proficiency Check (Bi-Annual Flight Review)
Desired Qualifications:
• 3,000 hours PIC Rotorcraft-Helicopter
• FAA Airline Transport Pilot Rotorcraft-Helicopter Certificate
• Power line patrol experience
• Low level flying experience (military training strongly desired)
• Bell 407 experience
• Possess necessary communication skills to interact with all levels of Company personnel.
• Detailed knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations, air traffic control procedures and aircraft systems.
• Successful completion of Required Safety and Emergency Training.
• Flying in the Wire Environment training
• Bachelor’s Degree
Working Conditions:
• Valid Driver’s License required
• Valid US Passport
• Frequent overnight travel
• Working in all-weather outdoor conditions (extreme heat, cold, wind, rain, snow) for extended periods of time
• Heavy physical effort (usually lifting/moving up to 50 lbs individually when loading baggage
• On call duty days
• Exposure to mechanical, electrical, and/or other hazards
• Exposure to noisy, dusty conditions, chemicals or solvents
• Work at heights greater than 300 feet
• Hybrid Mobility Classification – Work will be performed from both remote and onsite locations after the onboarding period. However, hybrid employees should live within a reasonable daily commute to a Duke Energy facility. |
