Requirements |
The successful candidate has excellent customer service skills, team member qualities, and leadership competencies, in addition to the required certifications and experience the position requires. They must also be willing to live and work within one hour of the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport. Other qualifications include:
• Must possess High School Diploma/GED.
• Must possess all current ratings to operate commercial aircraft for a Part 121 operation, including an Airline Transport Pilot certificate.
• Must have a total of 2500 hours in a fixed-wing aircraft, of which 1000 hours will be multi-engine turbine flight time, and 1000 hours total flight time will be air carrier experience.
• Must have a valid First-Class Medical.
• Must not have an FAA ‘Certificate Action’ or ‘Administrative Action’ record within the prior 24 months.
• Must have a valid US Passport and the ability to go in and out of the US, including to Canada.
• Must be in Anchorage, Alaska, or be willing to relocate within 30 days if not already residing within one (1) hour of Anchorage.
• Must be fluent in English and communicate professionally verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to fulfill the physical requirements of the position, which require the ability to lift and maneuver 20 lbs. regularly and may involve lifting and maneuvering up to 65 lbs.
• Must be able to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to work in all types of weather, including extreme temperatures.
• Must have a strong safety awareness and the ability to adhere to Safety Management Systems (SMS); risk assessment and mitigation knowledge are highly desired.
• Must pass a comprehensive background check, including a motor vehicle record check for the previous 36 months and a pre-employment DOT drug screen.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
• Must be comfortable working in an airport environment around odors and sounds typically associated with operating aircraft. |
