Requirements |
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Familiarity with FAA-H-8083-9 Rev.A Aviation Instructors Handbook, preferred.
• Familiarity with computer programs such as Power Point, Adobe Captivate and other training aids/formats for displaying training information.
• Extensive technical knowledge of aircraft systems, flight operations, and applicable FAA regulations.
• Excellent working knowledge of Crew Resource Management and Threat and Error Management skills.
• Must possess training courseware development skills.
• Ability to participate in two-line flight segments annually.
Education and Experience:
• High School Diploma, required; Associates Degree, preferred.
• CFI, CFI(I) FAA Certificates, preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years on aircraft with a part 121 earner or equivalent military experience.
• Formal aircraft system instruction, or technical instruction experience, preferred.
Physical Requirements:
• Valid US driver's license (revoked, suspended or expired are not considered valid)
• Must be willing to take a pre-placement drug screen.
• Candidate must be able to clear a fingerprint-based criminal history check in order to obtain and retain credentials necessary for the position.
• Position-specific clearances include but are not limited to FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal service clearances.
• Must be willing to work occasional off-shift/weekend work. |
